Primeramente quisiera subrayar que este es un libro escrito por un pro-atleta, que en esta oportunidad ha tomado como educadores a los filósofos Immanuel Kant y Miguel de Unamuno, tan relevante en nuestros días, porque después de ambos filósofos se es Kantiano o no se es, es decir, se es categórico o no. Asimismo se es Unamuniano o no se es, es decir, se es un buen escéptico o no. Al ser nuestros filósofos representantes de nuestra esencia no sólo ontológica, sino también antropológica. Es decir Mente y Cuerpo. Bienestar y Salud. Escepticismo e Imperativo. Unamuno y Kant, respectivamente.

Lo que realmente tratamos de mostrar en el contenido de estas páginas es que los hombres gestaron una segunda naturaleza que les permitió no nada más velar por la supervivencia, sino también que esta ruptura los llevó a perfeccionarse en el deporte, cuidado de su salud y de su apariencia. A tal magnitud, fue el progreso y el cambio que se ha pasado de mono a übermensch, según expresión Nietzscheana; o de animales a dioses, como en el libro de Yuval Noah Harari; que esta segunda naturaleza se convierte en nuevas espiritualidades para el ejercitante neo-espiritualización, para el hombre gimnástico del siglo xxi. Desde entonces como sostenía Kant «Yo me hago a mí mismo».

El hombre que entrena lo que le es más personal su propio cuerpo. Es a esa segunda naturaleza, del acondicionamiento y cuidado personal, que brilla con todo esplendor en quienes han transformado su salud, a la que apelamos en este volumen. • My husband found out that his cholesterol is VERY high a couple of weeks ago. I ordered this book along with a few others to try to change my southern way of cooking. Out of all the books, this one has the best and easiest to prepare recipes and my husband has enjoyed every meal. He says it’s easy eating healthy. Hmmm.
• My wife would have given it 5 stars but she is a cookbook picture type. So if pictures are a necessity in a cook book, you may want to rethink this one. On a positive note, she hasn't come across a recipe she wouldn't try and I haven't eaten one I didn't like.
• Loved this book. Just finished reading through it and it is so well-written and easy to read. The author’s story in the ‘Introduction’ about finding out she has high cholesterol and deciding to lower it with diet and exercise and launching a blog was interesting. The section about dietary fiber was useful since I already take fiber daily to lower my cholesterol, and this gives me additional options. I learned a lot about cholesterol reading this book, and am looking forward to trying the recipes.
• I absolutely love this cookbook. It has been very useful. I initially followed the weekly meal planning and now I am trying out the recipes and creating my own meal plans. All the recipes in this book are very easy to prepare and all the ingredients for me have been easy to find. I write notes in the margin of each recipe I have tried referencing the tastiness of the recipe. I would have to say almost every single one has been a fine dining delight. There are a few recipes that I did not like but I know that is typical of all cookbooks. My favorite recipes so far have been the Chicken and Zucchini Burgers, Baked Sweet Potatoes Fries, Slower cooker Hawaiian Chicken, Steamed Rosemary Trout in Parchment with spinach, Spiced Baked apples, Blueberry Blender Nice Cream, Butternut Mac and Cheese, Creamy Oat bran with Apricots to name a few. I could go on and on though. Recipes are well laid out and very easy to follow. All easily made within 30 minutes. The author has given excellent information to eat healthy and living a lower cholesterol and heart healthy diet and lifestyle change. Its easy and very satisfying. I have shared my food with friend and they love it. My 15 year old picky daughter likes the food. Yay, now that is something to be said. Can't say enough on how much I like this cookbook. I also have shared this info with friends and family.
• As someone with Type I Diabetes, it is vital to keep my cholesterol low and my heart healthy. I just came across this cookbook. I think it just came out? I tried one of the chicken recipes last night and even my picky husband liked it.I will definitely be turning to it again...maybe tonight!
• This book has been very helpful with figuring out my cholesterol issues. Less boring than the one put out by the AHA. Recipes are easy to follow though I often have to add more herbs or spices to bump up the flavor. A lot of the recipes are for slow cookers which I do not have, but you can adapt them.
• I love how the author explains in detailed but easy-to-understand terms what cholesterol is, why it’s a problem, and how you can lower it naturally with food and exercise. The ‘Foods that Lower Cholesterol’ section was interesting, and my whole family (some vegetarian) liked the Gemelli Salad with Green Beans and Pistachios - it was delicious and easy to make!
• This cookbook does so much more than present recipes (although they are great). It clearly explains the health issues behind cholesterol and how I can get healthier by changing the way I eat. Well-written and beautifully laid out - this one is a keeper!

• In the latest book of E.J. Copperman's A Haunted Guesthouse mystery, Paul Harrison, the resident private investigator ghost has left for parts unknown, so things have quieted down for Alison Kirby, guesthouse owner and ghost whisperer. That is until Paul's older attorney brother, recently murdered, shows up wanting to see Paul.
  
  Richard wants to find Paul so he could help Cassidy VanDoren, the client he was working for at the time of his death. He believes she is in serious danger not to mention, she was also arrested for the murder of her step-father, Keith Barent Johnson. When Paul returns home, he and Alison, with the help of their friends, embark on an investigation to not only find out who really murdered Johnson, but Richard as well. But Richard strangely doesn't want an investigation into his death as much as he wants protection for Cassidy Van Doren.
  
  This story moves at a steady pace with a host of prospective murderers. It has enjoyable characters, was well written and the story line engaging. I would recommend this book and series to readers who like cozy mysteries with a paranormal element to it.

• "Ghostification." This is most likely my newest favorite word. Guesthouse keeper, Alison Kerby and family (and believe me this family is very involved in Alison's world,) have a constant state of Ghostification going on in their Guesthouse. Which is known as the 'Haunted Guesthouse.'
  
  The entire family, ghosts and alive, are feeling the vacancy of one of their founding ghosts, Paul Harrison. Paul has managed to be released from the small world of the guesthouse and has gone off to see the 'world.' Paul's imprint is felt even more empty when a 'new' ghost wanders in announcing that he is Paul's Brother, Richard. Time for Alison to find Paul.
  
  Richard was murdered. In a very unique manner. The thing is that in his living life he was an Attorney for a woman on trial for the murder of her Step-Father, in a bathtub, while he was fully clothed. Richard believes to his very core that the woman is innocent. Time for his deceased Brother's Private Eye talents to be used. Alison, also, is a reluctant Private Eye.
  
  With a household filled with guests and ghosts, Alison and family/friends are put to the challenge.
  
  This series makes me laugh. The clever dialog, witticisms, and characters you encounter reading these novels, just make them among my absolute favorites. I hope, sincerely, there is another episode on the writing pad.
• If you have not read earlier books in the series, this is not the place to start. I basically like the series but this was not one of the better products. The characters are not as well developed or even as likable in this outing. The editing was bad with confusing sentences, names and poor word choices. I would not be as critical if this were a mass market paperback. But this was $20 more than the other books in the series and it was no where near the same quality. I purchased it used and am glad I did not buy it new. If you like the series, wait for the mass market edition.
• I love all of E. J. Copperman's books, but this was the series I started with, and I still love Alison the best.
  In this installment we meet Paul's brother Richard, who is recently deceased and looking for Paul to see if he can help locate his killer. Since Paul, one of Alison's resident ghosts, is currently on a world tour(?), Alison offers to help Richard. She had happily given up on her P.I. career, since Paul was gone, but felt that Richard was family because Paul felt like her brother.
  As always, I love the interplay between Alison's family and her ghosts, along with the seniors who come to the Haunted GuestHouse to interact with the ghosts on the premises.
  I was again stumped as to the murderer, and I love the many layers of mystery that E. J. guides us through to get to the end. Can't wait for the next book, and won't have to wait long, thank heaven!
• I love a mystery with ghosts in it, and when you have ones that can actually solve said mysteries, and interact on different planes, it makes for a story where anything can happen. The characters in this book have a history in the previous ones, which I encourage others to read, but if you have not read them, the author does a good job of letting the reader know enough so they will not be lost. This book has plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader interested, and guessing who did it. Recommend.
• E. J. Copperman does it again with yet another great entry in the Haunted Guesthouse Mystery series. It's always sad to end one of these books, and particularly sad to realize that there's only one more projected to go. If you like dry humor, well-developed characters, and a well-paced, intelligent read, this book is for you! It can be read as a standalone, book for full pleasure ... read the series.
• Wish I could buy all of Cooperman's books as hard copies! Love the guesthouse series, but due to arthritis in my hands I can no longer hold a paperback when reading in bed (neck & back injuries make it too hard to read sitting up). A hardback I can brace with a pillow and gently lay my hand against it to hold it open while I read. You can't do this to a paperback. I also can't read on my , it blurs and burns my eyes. I want a real book in my hands anyway. I'll never be an ebook reader, though I do listen t9 only MP3 books while traveling.
• These are fun, engaging books in a series.
  I read the first I bought from resale, then bought all the others. They are fun, relaxing, entertaining.
  
  Mysteries with a resident ghost to help solve who dunnit! The characters are lovable.

• I recommend this book to any person looking to pass the security plus exam I read the book in a couple of days took the test and passed the next week. I didn't understand the concepts of the course objectives at first but this book helped me understand the difficult topics with ease. Ian goes into the specifics in his book and corresponds a topic to a real world scenario that is easier to understand. I feel other resources fail to do this and that's the difference between this book and other books. This book helped me understand how PKI really works, starting from the architecture of a CA to the different certificate types and more. If you want to pass the security plus test in the most effcicent way possible then you need to read this book!
• I bought this book because a different one hadn't enabled me to pass the test. This book is set up differently, which is fine, is obviously written by a Brit, which, apart from a few semantic differences, is also fine, and has some mock tests, which are helpful.
  But most of the time, when reviewing material, I simply can't find terms in the index.
  For instance, Password Salting isn't referenced under password or Salting. RAM isn't listed under Memory or RAM. RRSIG isn't referenced anywhere. And all of these terms are on the first mock exam! I'm literally having to Google things on my phone that the book contains, but to which it has no usable reference.
• I was able to pass my security+ exam with this book. its easy to follow and to the point. Ian really hit it out the park with this one!
• I seem to retain the info in here more so than a couple of the video instructions I was following. Although I was able to dedicate less distracted time too it (coffee shop instead of at work with videos)
  
  Seems to be well organized, and easier to grasp with a good amount of practice questions at the end of each chapter to help integrate the information a little better...
• This is an EXCELLENT book to get you prepared for the Security plus exam. I took the exam a total of 3 times and before taking the exam this last time I read the book from front to back and it helped me understand the material a lot more in depth. Ian breaks down the content throughout the book that will help you understand the material very easy. I recommend anyone trying to pass the exam get the book. People in the reviews say there are a lot of grammatical errors throughout the book but that is false. So don’t believe those people that have the book a bad rating. Thanks Ian for the help inside of the book to help me get certified.

• I love this book. It is a genius. I ordered it about a month ago and have already lost 10 pounds and I feel great. I had the hardest time loosing weight after my second child was born. After reading this book I started eating more food and instead of avoiding hunger pangs and cravings I can give into them and give my body what it is asking for. You have to read this book to understand. I have so much more energy to do the things I love with the people I love. It doesn't teach you how to diet it teaches you how to live and it is something that is totally doable no matter what stage of life you are in. Worth every penny.
